Jay Powell

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and spent several years playing professional hockey in the ECHL, finishing my career with the Allen Americans in Allen, Texas.

The discipline, teamwork, and resilience I developed on the ice continue to guide me in my work today.

After retiring from hockey, I followed a path taken by many former teammates—and a family member—into the insurance world.

I am a current member of Elite Dallas IIAD, which has helped me continue learning, growing, and building meaningful connections within the industry.

I’m passionate about building strong relationships, expanding my network, and helping clients protect what matters most.

I believe I’m an asset to my clients and my team because of my strong work ethic and my commitment to doing things the right way.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, going to country concerts, and spending quality time with my nieces and nephews whenever I get the chance.

I’m excited to bring my energy, competitive spirit, and dedication to service to the Patterson & Associates team.
